A network of, by, and for conscious men
" There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self. " -Ernest Hemingway
Our mission is to initiate and promote curiosity and civil, informative conversation about what it means to be men or male in modern society. These conversations go beyond words, and into practice through thoughtful writings, enriching and informative e-courses, engaging events, and meaningful connections. We offer a platform for conscious men to discuss male identities and roles in constructive ways - the good, the bad, and the, sometimes, ugly. Through thoughtful conversation, shared experiences, and helpful insights, MANLĒ is a space for men to "manifest a new lived experience" through their own growth and through connection with others. We intend to maintain a dialogue and continued strengthening of healthy mind, body, and spirit in men, while setting a better example for young boys as they navigate their journey toward adulthood. In a culture that is, seemingly, more polarized than ever, we mean to be the best version of ourselves in order to foster healthy connections with all gender identities. We listen actively, we speak with intention, and we learn with open minds. Shaming men into enlightenment is not our goal, nor is it welcome here. This tactic has been ineffective within the construct of traditional masculinity or "hypermasculinity," therefore, fruitless in addressing it?
